The Role
Please Note: This is a Maternity Cover position and we’re looking for someone to work with us on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
As Head of Sales (Exhibitions & Events), you will lead the drive to secure high-profile national and international exhibitions and live events across Legends Global’s UK venue portfolio. Each venue has dedicated sales teams, and in this role you will work collaboratively to deliver business goals for the year ahead.
Working with esteemed clients, agencies, and organisers, you’ll forge powerful relationships that bring world-class events to our venues. With a sharp eye on market trends, you’ll shape and execute sales strategies, strengthen partnerships, and deliver growth. This is a dynamic, relationship-driven role for a proven sales leader passionate about elevating Legends Global’s presence in the exhibitions and events landscape.
Within this network we operate more than 100 Conference & Event venues across the globe. Our UK Venue portfolio includes:

You’ll be responsible for:
- Securing national and international exhibitions and live events across Legends Global’s UK venue portfolio.
- Building strong partnerships with leading corporate clients, agencies, and organisers to drive event bookings.
- Identifying and developing relationships with prospective B2B and B2C exhibition organisers in the UK and overseas.
- Supporting the UK Sales Director in delivering the Sales & Marketing Plan and achieving revenue goals.
- Managing the full sales pipeline and providing regular performance reports and insights.
- Travelling across the UK venue portfolio to collaborate with Conference & Events teams and strengthen internal partnerships.
- Meeting clients across the UK and internationally to foster lasting, face-to-face relationships.
- Monitoring industry trends and recommending actions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Supporting the delivery of Legends Global’s Conference & Events PR and marketing strategies.
You will have:
- Demonstrable UK sales industry work experience as a Head of Sales/Senior Sales Manager from within a similar industry (retail, hospitality, multi-site) - Essential
- A proven track record of proposal writing and delivering high level presentations
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Demonstrable experience of working with financials, particularly P&L and Margins
The requirements of the business are such that a high degree of flexibility is necessary and therefore some evening and weekend work will be required. Additionally, there will be occasions where the role will require extended periods of work at different venues operated by Legends Global.
