CGC Event Caterers are on the look out for both casual Bar and Hospitality staff to join the team to work at Wetherby Racecourse! Situated in the heart of the historic market town of Wetherby, the Racecourse had 18 race days for the season, spanning from October 2025 to June 2026. The Racecourse offers a high volume of public, premium and corporate hospitality packages to ensure our guests receive the best service- all catered for by CGC! The Racecourse is also a premium conferencing and event space, whereby they can host a variety of different events from exhibitions to banquets to weddings and so much more.
We are seeking Bar and Hospitality staff to work the race days and a high number of C&E at Wetherby, delivering the highest level of service to each of ours guests, maintaining the CGC Standards of Excellence and assist with the smooth running of all events and race days.

Key responsibilities:
- Serving food and drinks to all of our guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensuring orders are taken and processed accurately and promptly
- Building rapports and delivering outstanding customer service to guests, ensuring a positive experience
- Ensuring compliance to licensing laws and Challenge 25 in all areas
- Ensure areas are kept clean, tidy, and fully stocked, including relaying areas for the next day
- Work as part of a team to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
Person Specification
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable
- Preferably able to work the majority of the race days
- Must be able to commute to the venue during unsociable hours
- Confident being customer facing
- Excellent customer service skills, with a great eye for detail
- Engaging, enthusiastic and punctual
Recruitment Process Outlined:
To be successful, you MUST be able to attend an Assessment Centre on the 2nd October 2025 and attend a Training Induction on the 7th October 2025.
