About the Role:
As our Senior Event Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of all events within a 3,500-capacity venue, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
You will provide strategic leadership to event operations whilst driving innovation in event management practices. Acting as the primary point of accountability for large-scale, high-profile events, this role ensures seamless execution that maximizes revenue, strengthens client relationships, and enhances the Vaillant Live! / ASM + Legends reputation as a premier destination for live entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Events Team, including rota planning, recruitment, induction, and training.
- Act as Duty Manager during load-in, live events, and open periods, ensuring seamless delivery and issue resolution.
- Build strong client and promoter relationships, managing communications, site visits, and event requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors (security, medical, cleaning, stewards, crew), ensuring compliance with KPIs and venue standards.
- Take a lead role in health, safety, and incident management, ensuring crowd safety and emergency preparedness.
- Manage and forecast event budgets and recharges, producing accurate documentation and delivering against financial targets.
Skills and Experience:
- Have a minimum of 2 years in the events industry or transferable skills from a similar role – Essential
- Experience in managing, motivating and empowering teams.
- Ability to build good working relationships with team members, clients, contractors and visiting production teams.
- A high level of awareness of all Health & Safety issues relating to both event production, public and staff safety.
- A Health and Safety qualification (such as IOSH) and/or practical experience in writing risk assessments and method statements.
- Proficient knowledge of budgets, P&L and revenue management
- The ability to interpret detailed CAD drawings and manipulate with CAD software.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
- To have a good understanding of local authority regulations
- Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office
